Third Grade Animal Presentations Fosters Love for Research

Each year, third grade students are tasked with a research project from start to finish with absolutely no help from their parents. This year’s assignment was to research an animal of their choosing. Walking through the auditorium, there was an assortment of creatures from land, sea, and air on full display for all to read.
“When I was I the first grade, I learned about snow leopards and wanted to know all I could about them,” says Jordin.  Sitting next to him was Jordan, with an “a”, who displayed a presentation on grizzly bears which is one of his favorite animals.

Erin has loved learning all that she could about primates, and chooses a different primate to study each year, and this year she chose chimpanzees. “One interesting fact about chimpanzees is that their legs are shorter than their arms.”
