Twilight Celebrates Class of 2024 with Heartwarming Ceremony

The Twilight Program at Wantagh High School celebrated four new student graduates on June 12th in front of family, friends, and various members of the school community. The ceremony was a collaboration between BOCES and Wantagh School District with the support of a special group of teachers who teach a special group of students.

Students were celebrated one by one with special words, and at times tears, from Mrs. Desson, Mrs. Dermot, Mrs. Montalti, and Mrs. Ramos who have each supported the students in a special way. The students were reminded by BOCES Twilight Principal, Dr. McLaurin, that they will be part of a community that will be forever a part of their lives, and that sometimes the struggle makes things sweeter because you know what you’ve been through.

The graduation address was given by Mr. Moran, Wantagh Twilight Principal, and Dr. McLaurin, with closing remarks by Dr. Bennett.
