Junior Awards Honors High Achieving Students

This time of year, the excitement typically focuses on graduating seniors and elementary school celebrations. While all of this is happening, Wantagh students at each level are continuing to excel and be recognized in academics.

On June 6th, the Wantagh High School Guidance Department recognized 23 juniors for their academic achievements and service to the school and community.  The awards presented ranged from book awards to scholarships should the student choose to apply to the school in which the scholarship was given.

"These students are our highest achievers, and we are all so proud of what they have accomplished. The Awards Program is a celebration and recognition of their accomplishments and contributions, but also a passing of the mantle of leadership from the Class of 2024 to the Class of 2025."

Special thanks goes to Ms. Jones, Ms. Gordon, Ms. Psihos, and Mr. Tallarine, and Frank Muzio, Director of Guidance, who presented the awards after giving a special tribute to each recipient.
