Forest Lake Students Give Thanks

With Thanksgiving on the horizon, gratitude was the theme for the month at Forest Lake Elementary School.

At the monthly morning program on Nov. 17, the entire school gathered for a celebration of gratitude. First graders performed Thanksgiving poetry and songs, before several student awards were presented. 

Throughout the school, students worked on projects related to gratitude. Fifth graders read “Our Table” by Peter Reynolds, a tale about the importance of human connection and shared memories. Students then wrote about four people in their lives that they are thankful for and why.
