Middle School Trivia Shows Students That Teachers Lead Exciting Lives
A little friendly competition filled the Wantagh High School Auditorium where the middle school hosted their annual Black and Gold Trivia for each grade. The tradition brings entertainment, energy, and surprises for students as their knowledge is tested.
The Black and Gold teams had fun getting to know their teachers on a personal level giving them a peek into their lives with unexpected trivia questions that highlight their lives outside of the classroom.
A few questions asked:
· Which teacher used to sing the National Anthem at Wantagh High School?
· Which two teachers were beach volleyball champions together?
· Which teacher has swam with piranhas in the Amazon River?
· Which teacher was woken up by an earthquake in Iceland?
Some of the 8th Grade Trivia questions shared even more unique experiences with teachers testing student’s knowledge of Italian, learning who ran with President Clinton through Central Park, and who took a Peloton class with Aaron Judge. However, students flipped the script on their teachers by challenging them with spelling “skibidi” and demonstrating the arm motion for “6-7” bringing laughter to the room.
This year’s winner for the 7th grade was the Black team, and the Gold team came out on top for the 8th grade.
