Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama inspired second grade artists at Wantagh Elementary School for a fall-themed project. 

Students in Taylor Potish’s art classes drew pumpkins filled with dots that mimicked patterns used by Kusama. The space surrounding the pumpkins was also covered in dots and squiggles. 

After drawing their gourds and creating the patterns, students then painted their projects with watercolor paints.
