The English Department at Wantagh High School recognized students last week during its annual Summer Reading Initiative Celebration where over 375 students participated while on summer break. The annual event is held each year complete with a small reception filled with raffle prizes, snacks and a fun time.

Recognition was given to those students who read over the summer and discussed the book with their English teacher. For each book read, one raffle ticket was given in hopes of winning one of the amazing 19 prizes which included books and gift cards collected from generous community business owners coordinated by Library Clerk, Ms. Berg.
