District Celebrates Accomplished Student Artists
Two dozen students from the Wantagh School District were honored for their creativity and talent at the board of education meeting on April 16. The elementary, middle and high school artists were celebrated for their inclusion in the 2026 All-County art exhibit, hosted by the Art Supervisors Association.
“We’re super fortunate here in the district to have an outstanding art department and really talented artists,” Superintendent John McNamara said. “It's a program that continues to grow and we are thrilled to recognize our All County artists.”
Kelly Jones, director of fine and performing arts and business education, added that the 24 student-artists should be extremely proud of the beautiful art they made and shared with others. All of the students were presented with achievement certificates.
Wantagh’s All-County artists are Sarah Bernstein, Morgan Capps, Hollie Casale, Angelina Conigliaro, Meghan Cox, Paige Cronin, Elyse Dennis, Joseph Divella, James Garelick, Matthew Glasser, Diana Goncalves, Haylee Grassi, Alyssa Kimball, Nathan Levine, Brooke Lydon, Riley McDermott, Elena Michaleski, Lilianna Nicoletti, Ava Pasqua, Richard Raffio, Mia Rispoli, Benjamin Smith, Samantha Tietz and Nolan Wenzel.
