Gratitude was appropriately the theme in November in Wantagh for the Character Strong social and emotional learning program. Second graders at Forest Lake Elementary School took time to reflect, while creating a visual project that showcased the many reasons they are grateful.

Students created gratitude jars, which listed the people, objects and experiences they are thankful for this year. The pre-Thanksgiving activity helped them understand the purpose of the holiday and appreciate their blessings.
